Before we started Calgary Garage Door Fix in 2019, Stan worked in the garage door industry long enough to see how it actually operates. Emergency fees that double the bill at 6 PM. Subcontractors who show up with no training and no accountability. Companies that refuse to publish prices because the quote changes depending on what they think you'll pay.
That wasn't the business we wanted to run. So we built something different. Marta and Stan, out of Calgary, with one van and a straightforward idea: charge the same price at 11 PM on a Saturday as you do at 2 PM on a Tuesday. Hire real employees. Put the prices online.
